Border to Coast has appointed Stephen Hampson as chief financial officer.
Hampson is a qualified accountant and brings over 20 years of experience in the insurance industry. He has previously held several senior financial leadership positions, including group reporting director at Standard Life and chief finance operations officer at Aviva. Hampson will, subject to shareholder approval at its annual general meeting in the summer, join the organisation’s board. He will replace deputy CEO, Fiona Miller, who is due to retire from her executive role in late 2026.
The BT Pension Scheme (BTPS) has announced the appointment of Helen Charnley as an employer-nominated trustee director.
Charnley succeeds David Viles, who has stepped down from the Trustee Board. She is currently the director of group audit, risk and controls at BT Group. Before joining BT in September 2023, Charnley had a similar leadership role at J Sainsbury. Prior to that, she worked in professional services, leading and delivering audit and risk services for a variety of clients. Commenting on her appointment, BTPS chair, Jill Mackenzie, said: “Helen’s knowledge of the BT Group and her deep experience in audit and risk will help strengthen the collective skills of the Trustee Board – I’m delighted to welcome her.”
Aviva Investors has announced changes to the multi-asset investment team.
Ravi Cheema has been appointed as a multi-asset portfolio manager. He will be based in London and report to Aviva Investors head of multi-asset portfolio management, Sotirios Nakos. Cheema joins from Schroders, where he spent 14 years as a senior member of the firm’s multi-asset solutions team, acting as outsourced chief investment officer and lead portfolio manager. Furthermore, Sahil Shaikh, who joined the firm as a multi-asset portfolio manager in 2025, will be taking on additional responsibility across the firm’s multi-asset fund suite. He will be named as a co-manager on the firm’s Multi-Asset Fund Core and Multi-Asset Fund Plus ranges.
