You’ve developed a solid foundation in pensions. You understand how schemes operate, you’re confident in your pension technical knowledge, and you’re starting to think about what’s next. This is your opportunity to step into a broader, more involved role — one where when you are ready you’ll gain client exposure, deepen your governance experience, and continue building your confidence with the support of an experienced team around you.

We’re working with a highly regarded pensions consultancy looking to appoint an Assistant Trustee Executive to join their growing team.

As an Assistant Trustee Executive, you’ll support Trustee Executives and Senior Trustee Executives in delivering high-quality governance services to clients.

You’ll be involved in:
• Attending trustee meetings and preparing draft minutes
• Supporting meeting preparation, including reviewing papers and drafting summary documents
• Liaising with advisers and key third parties
• Maintaining governance documents such as business plans and risk registers
• Reviewing administration outputs and helping identify service improvements
• Drafting member communications and trustee reports
• Supporting governance, compliance and investment-related activities

When your ready you will have genuine client contact through meetings, calls and emails — but always with guidance and collaboration from experienced colleagues. If you’re progressing towards professional qualifications (e.g. PMI), you’ll be supported in that journey too. So don’t worry your study does not have to stop because you have moved employers.

About You
You’ll likely have a good few years of administration and technical pensions experience and be ready to broaden your exposure, and step away from pension administration and towards the world of pensions trustee secretarial support.

It’s a natural next step if you’re looking to move beyond pension administration and/or technical work and start building a well-rounded trustee skillset — without being thrown in at the deep end.
