People’s Partnership has named Laura Ellis as its new head of bid management.
Ellis has over a decade of experience in sales and business development across sectors, including law, insurance, fintech, real estate and financial wellbeing. She has worked extensively on bid strategy, content development and pitch coaching. She said she was “thrilled” to join the organisation and looked forward to supporting its growth strategy and client engagement. People’s Partnership distribution director, Stuart Reid, welcomed the appointment, noting Ellis’ knowledge of the defined contribution and workplace pensions market. He said her leadership would play a key role in supporting the provider’s growth priorities and in delivering long-term value for its seven million members.
The London Pensions Fund Authority (LPFA) has appointed Luke Webster to its board.
Webster is currently bursar of Corpus Christi College, Oxford, overseeing non-academic operations including the management of estates and endowments. He began his career as an accountant at the London Borough of Lewisham in 2005 and went on to hold senior finance and investment roles, including LPFA chief finance and risk officer between 2013 and 2015. From 2015 to 2025, he served as Greater London Authority chief investment officer and also founded and led London Treasury as CEO. Alongside his new position at the LPFA, Webster sits as a non-executive director at London Treasury and is a member of the investments committee of the Masonic Charitable Foundation. Webster said that he was pleased to return to the LPFA “at a pivotal time for the Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS)” and would focus on supporting members and employers through upcoming challenges and opportunities.
Quilter Cheviot has appointed Yumna Yusuf to its responsible investment team.
Yusuf joins from Schroders, where she was a climate engagement associate and co-developed a firmwide climate engagement and escalation framework. Prior to this, she worked in government, including three years at the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy as an official climate negotiator for UN COP25 and COP26. She will report to Quilter Cheviot head of responsible investment, Gemma Woodward, and will support stewardship and thematic engagement activity. Woodward said Yusuf’s background across both public and private sectors, particularly in climate engagement and international policy, would help strengthen Quilter Cheviot’s responsible investment capabilities and deepen its engagement with companies.
