Independent Governance Group (IGG) has announced 22 promotions, including three trustee directors.
Chris Alford, Luke Tutt and Maria Keen have been promoted to trustee director roles. Alford is part of IGG’s Covenant and Restructuring Centre of Excellence and has over 15 years of experience, including time at The Pensions Regulator. Tutt, meanwhile, has a background in pensions administration and leads IGG’s Pensions Dashboard working group. Keen has over 20 years’ experience and is also a member of IGG’s Risk Transfer Centre of Excellence. In addition to the trustee director appointments, Annette Balcombe, Carolyn Ealand, Mariarosa Rossi and Richard Haslam have all been promoted to trustee manager roles.
Meanwhile, Chris Tabersham has been promoted to associate director. The promotions, effective from 1 April, also see Abigail Finegan, Elizabeth Mealing, Ellis Kewley, Harry Birch, Philippa Wilson and Rachel Rigg promoted to senior associate roles, while Craig Barth has been promoted to manager (funding and investment). IGG also announced that Like Minds, part of the IGG group, has seen three promotions: Allan McCabe as senior consultant and Lindsay Kerr and Sophie Liegho as associate consultants. And across IGG’s central services, Som Ali has been promoted to CRM manager, while Rebecca Wheeler, Megan Russell and Burcu Ciftci have taken up executive assistant roles.
TPT Retirement Solutions has announced the appointment of Steve Collins as its new head of superfund.
Collins will report to TPT commercial director, Nicholas Clapp, and play a key role in helping bring the proposition to market. He will also be responsible for building out the pipeline of future transactions and working closely with the team to develop the proposition. To his new role, Collins brings over two decades of experience in the pensions industry, having held a variety of roles across actuarial consulting, covenant and trusteeship. He has held several senior positions at KPMG UK, Isio, Cardano, and Aon, and most recently served as a senior actuary at KPMG UK.
WTW has appointed Gareth Strange as head of its outsourcing business in Great Britain, including responsibility for WTW’s pensions administration business.
In his new role, Strange will be responsible for shaping WTW’s outsourcing strategy in Great Britain, focusing on developing offerings and supporting outcomes for pension schemes and their members. He brings nearly 25 years of experience at WTW across pensions, retirement and outsourcing, with a career that has spanned both client delivery and commercial leadership. Strange takes over the role from Kevin Howard, who has led the business over the past eight years.
LCP has appointed Nick Clark as head of pensions actuarial and Jon Forsyth as head of pensions developments.
Clark is an experienced actuary with over 25 years of consulting experience and will pass on his current role as head of the firm’s Winchester office to Victoria Snowden. Forsyth will lead the firm’s response to emerging pensions policy and industry change. He has over 15 years’ experience providing advice to both pension scheme trustees and sponsoring employers, and advises some of the UK’s largest pension schemes. Additionally, he serves as chair of the Society of Pension Professionals Defined Benefit Committee. These roles have been created in response to the evolving pensions landscape.
