Appointments update 07 January

LV= has appointed Clive Bolton as managing director, life and pensions with immediate effect, subject to regulatory approval.

Bolton joins LV= after 11 years at Aviva Life UK, which included five years as managing director of retirement solutions. He is currently a consultant with the International Longevity Centre and a non-executive member of the Civil Service Pension Scheme Advisory Board. At LV=, Bolton will replace John Perks who is leaving to join the Police Mutual Group as chief executive in April.

Willis Towers Watson has named Costas Yiasoumi as a senior director in its pension de-risking transition business.

Yiasoumi brings over 20 years of experience leading various teams in developing and implementing de-risking solutions for pension funds to his new role. He joins from Legal & General, where he was head of core business. Prior to this he held senior roles at Partnership Assurance, SwissRe, JPMorgan and Mercer.

Redburn Ltd has announced the appointment of Steve Malcolm as a senior analyst in its Telecoms research team.

Malcolm brings over 20 years of experience in telecoms research to his new role, having previously held senior positions at Evolution Securities, Deutsche Bank Global Equities and Greenwich NatWest. He was also formerly a partner at Arete Research and is the latest in a series of appointments for Redburn.
