Appointments update – 30 June 2026

Standard Life has appointed Nick Johnson as managing director for direct-to-customer within its Pensions and Savings business.

Johnson will take up his new role on 6 July from NatWest Group, where he spent 13 years in a range of senior roles, most recently as managing director, digital investing at Coutts. He has over 25 years of experience across pensions, investments, and advice. He will report to Standard Life CEO of Pensions & Savings, Angela Byrne, and will join the Pensions and Savings Leadership team. In his new role, he will focus on aligning the group’s customer proposition with its digital capabilities to improve customer engagement.

Marsh has announced the appointment of Daniel Godfrey to Now Pensions’ Trustee Board and Investment Committee.

In his new role, Godfrey will support Now Pensions’ Trustee Board in delivering independent governance. He has nearly four decades of experience in the pensions and investment management industries. Throughout his career, he has been an advocate for better consumer outcomes, responsible investment and high standards of advice across the financial services sector. He currently serves as chair of the FCA's Advisers' Sustainability Group and is a member of the Legal & General Independent Governance Committee.

Festina Finance has appointed Kevin Jones as UK pensions technical lead.

Jones has worked in the pensions industry since 2015, holding roles at WTW, Equiniti, Heywood, Prudential and EQ. He has experience across pension systems and administration, with a particular focus on implementation, calculations and technical delivery. He will play a key role in developing Festina Finance’s UK offering, supporting clients and partners with the implementation of modern pension solutions.
