Capital Cranfield has appointed Ray Pygott as a professional trustee.

Pygott has experience advising both trustees and corporates and has worked extensively in corporate transactions and M&A activity. Prior to joining the firm, he was KPMG’s pension practice chief actuary and a founding partner and head of trustee services at Isio. Commenting on his appointment, Capital Cranfield managing director, Harus Rai, stated: “We are delighted that Ray has chosen to pursue his professional trustee career with Capital Cranfield and I am in no doubt that his broad experience and creative thinking will bring exceptional value to his clients".

Bestrustees has named Ann Rigby as chair of the board of directors.

Rigby has been on the Bestrustees board since May 2021, and has over 25 years’ experience in the pensions industry. She joined the company in 2013 after 10 years as a scheme actuary and will assume the role of chair at the end of Q2 2023, succeeding Zahir Fazal. Although stepping down from the board of directors, Fazal will remain in an ambassadorial role and also as one of Bestrustees’ 30 professional trustees.

XPS Pensions has promoted eleven new partners.

The promotions, effective on April 1 2023, were made across all 16 XPS locations in the UK. The new partners include head of XPS administration projects, Kevin Allwork, head of XPS actuarial calculations, Shelley Jeffery, scheme actuary, Steve Morris, head of XPS investment risk settlement, Sian Pringle, and head of XPS DC investment, Mark Searle. “It is great to see so many XPS colleagues at all grades progressing and excelling in their careers,” XPS Pensions Group co-CEO, Ben Bramhall, commented. “I’m pleased that through our strong business growth, we are able to offer these exciting opportunities for our talented colleagues, reflecting XPS’s values and our culture to invest in and develop our people.”
