Make My Money Matter has named Huw Davies as senior finance adviser.
The newly created role will see Davies help the campaign to better engage with pension schemes and financial institutions on their journey towards net zero and more responsible investment. Prior to this, Davies was Triodos head of retail banking in the UK, with this work providing him with an “in-depth knowledge” of sustainable finances as well as the challenges and opportunities facing the financial services industry as it works to tackle climate change.
Cardano has announced two new senior hires.
Sasha Mandich has been hired as head of business development, bringing over 20 years of experience in the investment industry to the role. Prior to this, Mandich held a number of senior management roles at Russell Investments, having most recently been responsible for growing the UK fiduciary management business as managing director and head of institutional sales. Alongside this, Cardano has also named Gillie Tomlinson as head of trustee engagement. Tomlinson has 30 years of experience in the investment industry, having previously served as a LCP director, and spent twelve years at BlackRock prior to this. She will be responsible for maintaining and developing relations with trustees and other stakeholders at UK DB schemes.
Clara-Pensions has appointed Ross Wood as chief risk officer.
Woods joins the team from Natwest, with over 18 years of actuarial, investment and broad experience from a range of in-house and consulting roles. Prior to this, he was RBS International head of treasury risk, and he is also a member-nominated trustee director of the RBS Retirement Savings Plan; a role that he will continue whilst with Clara.
