Dalriada Trustees Limited has confirmed the appointment of Leanne Coomber and Aimee Nguyen as professional trustees
Coomber has more than two decades of experience in the pensions industry, having managed both defined benefit (DB) and defined contribution schemes. Previously, she was trustee governance manager and scheme secretary for Bayer’s £1.5bn UK pension scheme and has also held roles with pension consultancies Aon and LCP. Nguyen has more than 10 years of experience of working in pensions, having served as a pensions manager of Tesco’s DB scheme and has held consultancy roles at PwC and Willis Towers Watson. Dalriada chair, Tom Lukic, said: “As we continue to meet the challenges of an ever-changing pensions world, it is of vital importance that we continue to invest in bringing new skills and talent in to our team, ensuring that the diversity of our team reflects that of the membership of the schemes we help to govern.”
LifeSight has added Helen Jones to its board of trustees to replace Russell Picot, who recently stepped down
Jones, who will also chair the audit and risk sub-committee, has more than 30 years of experience as a finance and risk management professional, and is currently senior vice president head of audit and assurance with GlaxoSmithKline (GSK). Jones was a trustee of the GSK Pension Fund for seven years and sat on the company’s treasury committee and pension committee. Previously, she was also trustee and chair of the Reuters Defined Contribution Scheme for five years and was a non-executive member of the Financial Reporting Council’s Conduct Committee. LifeSight trustee board chair, Jane Platt, said: “We are excited by the contribution that Helen will be able to make as we strive continuously to improve the retirement outcomes and member experience for our growing number of members.”
Phoenix Group has hired Sangita Chawla as marketing director for its savings and retirement business
Chawla will be responsible for managing the Standard Life brand, which Phoenix is set to acquire from Standard Life Aberdeen, for the company’s Open Savings and Retirement business. She will also be responsible for driving revenues through integrated marketing campaigns. Chawla joins from Aegon, where she was head of investment solutions strategy and led the firm’s retirement income and environmental, social and governance propositions. She has more than 25 years of experience in the workplace and intermediary channels, and has held roles at Aon, Schroders and Fidelity. Phoenix CEO of savings and retirements UK and Europe, commented: “Sangita has a strong track record of building integrated marketing programs and will play an important role in developing our propositions for all of our stakeholders.”
