Appointments update 1 April 2019

Legal & General (L&G) Retirement Institutional has named Carl Moxley as its new chief financial officer (CFO).

Moxley joined L&G in 2017 as chief risk officer (CRO) for L&G Retirement. He brings over 15 years of experience in capital and balance sheet management to his new role. Prior to joining L&G, Moxley was the group capital solutions director at Aviva and spent seven years at Swiss Re in a variety of reserving, capital, structuring and pricing roles. Simon Gledhill will become CRO of L&G Retirement.

XPS Pensions Group has appointed Lisa Whitby as head of pensions and office chair of the Leeds office.

Whitby joined XPS in the summer of 2018 and takes over her new roles with immediate effect. Prior to joining XPS, Whitby spend six years as head of operations at Capita Employee Solutions and six years as a senior consultant at Willis Towers Watson. She replaces John Burns after he spent three years in the position.

Punter Southall Aspire has announced the appointment of Dianne Day as a trustee to the board of Aspire Savings Trust.

Day brings 12 years of experience as a pension trustee, including for both DB and DC schemes, to her now role. She has investment credentials both as a chief investment officer with direct board accountability and has been a client director at Independent Trustee Services, where she leads the company’s DC pension work.
