Capital Cranfield has announced three new appointments to its sole trustee and secretarial teams.
The firm confirmed that Andrea Lloyd and Wai Wong have both joined as sole trustee specialists. Lloyd is a qualified actuary who advised both trustee boards and sponsoring employers for over a decade at Mercer, and has also worked as an early resolution adviser for The Pensions Ombudsman. Wong brings over a decade’s trustee experience and has held senior company secretarial roles with organisations including Elementis, John Menzies and PwC. Capital Cranfield also hired Claire Bellamy into its scheme secretarial team, joining from a similar role at Capita.
Standard Life has made two senior hires within its commercial team.
The group announced that Kenny McIvor has been appointed as head of trading, while David Burton has been named as head of platforms and processes. Reporting to Standard Life commercial and finance director, Justin Grainger, both appointments are expected to add further capability to drive business growth. McIvor joins from WTW where he was director in the life consulting practice, bringing 15 years of experience to the role. Burton, meanwhile, joins with over 20 years of experience delivering technology-based solutions, most recently at L&G Retirement and L&G Investment Management.
Aon has appointed Maria Johannessen as UK head of Investment.
Johannessen initially joined Aon as a senior partner in June 2022, and was previously investment client leader and investment leader for the London region. She has more than 20 years’ investment experience, working in client advisory, investment banking and asset management, having previously has held senior roles at Mercer, PwC, BlackRock and UBS Investment Bank. Johannessen succeeds Tim Giles, who has left Aon after 25 years to seek new challenges and opportunities. She will report to Aon head of wealth solutions UK, Michael Clare, and Aon CEO of wealth solutions, Paul Rangecroft.
