Brightwell has appointed James Pearson as head of member services operations.
To this newly created role, Pearson brings 20 years of experience in pensions operations, project management, implementation, and business change. He joins Brightwell from Capita, where he worked for more than 17 years in a variety of roles, including director of pensions operations & business change. Pearson will be responsible for all of Brightwell's day-to-day administration operations, including finance and payroll, planning, reporting, data management and insight and service operations across all clients.
The Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) has appointed two members to its Sustainable Finance Advisory Committee.
Elly Dowding has been appointed as environmental, social and governance (ESG) accord director, and Farnam Bidgoli has been appointed as independent adviser. Earlier this year, the FCA conducted a refresh of its Sustainable Finance Advisory Committee, in which it planned to refresh the membership on a staggered basis, allowing the FCA to bring in new expertise whilst benefiting from continuity. The regulator thanked Desiree Fixler and Harald Walkate, who are stepping down after three years of service, for their “time and valuable contributions”.
State Street Investment Management (State Street IM) has announced two senior leadership appointments.
Matteo Andreetto has been named as global head of nextgen business development and digital wealth, executive vice president, while Marie-Anne Heeren was appointed as head of client coverage group Europe, executive vice president. In the newly created role, Andreetto will lead the efforts to expand State Street IM’s global reach through distribution partnerships, NextGen digital wealth efforts, and its exchange-traded fund-as-a-service offering. Meanwhile, Heeren’s focus will be on continuing to deliver exceptional service to institutional and intermediary clients, fostering collaboration, and addressing evolving client needs. Andreetto will report to State Street IM chief business officer, Anna Paglia, while Heeren will continue to report to State Street IM head of EMEA, Ann Prendergast.
