Smart has appointed Neil Murrin as new general counsel.
Murrin joins from Trainline, where he was general counsel and director, regulatory affairs, a role which saw him at the heart of the business’s recent growth and international expansion. He is expected to be a key member of the Smart leadership team and will play a “fundamental role” in supporting the organisation’s global growth strategy.
Aegon Asset Management (Aegon AM) has announced three appointments to its responsible investment team.
Andy Woods joins as responsible investment manager, supporting the equities and multi-asset investment platforms. Based in the UK, he will primarily be responsible for the voting activities and related engagements with companies within Aegon AM’s portfolios. In addition to this, Jamie McAloon, who will also be based in the UK, has been appointed as a responsible investment associate, supporting the equities and multi-asset investment platforms. Curtis Zappala has also been appointed as responsible investment associate, based in the US.
CEM Benchmarking has named Rashay Jethalal CEO.
Jethalal, who will be based in the company headquarters in Toronto, brings broad experience in financial services to the role, including in capital markets, asset management and retail banking. Previously, he has held a number of leadership roles, including Purpose Investments president, RBC managing director of enterprise strategy, and CIBC managing director and head of global banks.
