Appointments update - 10 July 2023

People’s Partnership has appointed Laura Chappell as a non-executive director.

Chappell has 30 years’ experience in asset management and is currently Brunel Pension Partnership chief executive. Commenting on her appointment, Chappell stated: “I’m thrilled to be joining the board at such an exciting time for both People’s Partnership and UK pensions in general. The fact that more than six million people look to us to help them build financial foundations for life shows we have a significant role to play in improving the wealth of the nation. I’m delighted to be involved in the next step of the organisation’s remarkable journey.”

Just Group has named Mark Godson as group chief financial officer.

Godson will also join the board as an executive director from 1 January 2024, subject to regulatory approval. He succeeds Andy Parsons, who will retire from the Board on 31 December 2023. He is currently a partner at EY, and leader of their UK actuarial practice, and has over 20 years’ experience in the insurance industry across several international markets. During his career, he has led assignments focussing on delivering growth strategies, business transformation, commercial optimisation and mergers and acquisitions. Prior to his current role he was at Swiss Re, based in London.

TPT Retirement Solutions has announced the appointment of Paul Eagles as senior professional services manager.

Eagles, who joined TPT in June 2023, is responsible for providing professional services to sponsoring employers and collaborating with TPT’s external strategic partners. He will also support interested employers in determining if joining a potential multi-employer collective defined contribution (CDC) scheme could create better employee retirement outcomes. He has a range of experience across DC schemes and the wider pensions industry, having worked in pensions for 17 years. Before joining TPT, he most recently served at Legal & General Investment Management as head of DC client commercials and business management.
