SPP shares new guidance videos

The Society of Pension Professionals (SPP) has shared new guidance videos designed for those who are new to, or in the early stages of their careers as pensions professionals.

The videos are accessible to all, so anyone with an interest in learning about specific areas of the pensions industry can take advantage of the free materials.

The SPP videos feature industry professionals giving a 10–15-minute introduction to key topics and concepts.

They started with beginner's guides to pensions and pensions legislation back in the summer of 2024 and have grown to include recently added guides to collective defined contribution (CDC) pension schemes, public sector pensions, DC default funds, and defined benefit (DB) valuations.

More videos are planned for 2025, which the SPP said are likely to include pensions tax relief and pensions administration.
