Pensions Dashboards Week, which aims to improve industry awareness on pensions dashboards ahead of connection deadlines, is to take place virtually between 3-7 October.
Bravura Solutions and its subsidiary, Delta Financial Systems, will host several industry figures over the course of the week, including LCP partner and former Pensions Minister, Steve Webb, Pensions Dashboards Programme principal, Chris Curry, and The Pensions Regulator industry outreach lead, Angela Bell.
The initiative will explore best practice when connecting to the pensions dashboards’ ecosystem, while also encouraging wealth platforms, providers, schemes and third-party administrators to consider the possibilities of dashboards beyond connection deadlines.
The free-to-attend events include live webinars, panel discussions and Q&As, covering topics such as data security and cleansing, implementation, and how the expected increase in engagement from savers could impact administrators going forward.
Bravura principal consultant and pensions specialist, Jonathan Hawkins, said that pensions dashboards connectivity is only months away and is set to “dramatically change” the way people in the UK engage with and save for retirement.
“This is set to be a huge shake up for the industry and with the initial deadlines looming, many professionals are struggling to fully appreciate the impact of impending regulations,” he continued.
“There’s a clear need for everyone in the industry to come together and ideally share best practice around the challenges and opportunities these changes might bring and how they can be used to improve and streamline business operations at the same time.
“Ultimately, pensions dashboards will encourage innovation whilst empowering individuals to make increasingly informed decisions and drive better outcomes so it’s incredibly important that all industry stakeholders get this right first time or risk loss of customer trust.”
Other industry figures that will speak over the week include Intelligent Pensions technical director, Fiona Tait, MyPensionID founder and CEO, Lisa Lyon, Lang Cat director of public affairs, Tom McPhail, NextWealth MD, Heather Hopkins and KGC Associates director, Lesley Carline.
