PMI agrees changes to advisory council and presidential team

The Pensions Management Institute (PMI) has revealed several changes to its advisory council and presidential team, which were agreed at the AGM held yesterday, 10 July.

CMS UK partner Kevin Webster and Aon principal Richard Cox have been elected to join the PMI’s advisory council. Kevin LeGrand, a past PMI president, steps down by rotation having served two five-year terms on the council, however will continue supporting the PMI’s committees, and Willis Towers Watson managing director Jane Murray, also steps down after serving one term. Murray was co-opted onto the PMI Board in 2018 and will remain co-opted for a further one-year term.

Premier Companies’ Girish Menezes has also been co-opted onto the advisory council.

Smart Pension director of global clients Tim Phillips has been elected as vice president, replacing Mercer director, Lorraine Harper. Phillips will be joining both Lesley Alexander, strategic partner at Ferrier Pearce, as a fellow Vice President and Lesley Carline, director at KGC Associates and president, who are both continuing their roles.

The board has agreed to co-opt Lorraine Harper onto the board for a further one-year term.

Commenting, PMI president, Lesley Carline, said: “It’s been a delight to work with Lorraine, who has made a huge contribution supporting both Lesley Alexander and I during her term as vice president. We all look forward to developing our ongoing relationship as she remains on the advisory council. We congratulate Tim and look forward to working with him further.

“On the advisory council, we would like to thank Kevin and Jane for their continued support and dedication to the PMI. We look forward to continuing to work with Jane who has been instrumental serving on the board and congratulate both Richard and Keith who join the council.”
