MAPS recruiting dashboard delivery leaders

The Money and Pensions Service (MAPS) is recruiting for a principal and for an implementation director for its Pensions Dashboard Industry Delivery Group.

Advertising the two-year fixed contract jobs under its former Single Financial Guidance Body moniker, MAPS describes the principal role as “an important and demanding role with strategic responsibility for building an industry view of the delivery of the dashboard digital architecture and ecosystem governance framework and the core business case”.

The principal will have to establish, lead and ensure the success of the Industry Steering Group, the dashboard digital architecture and ecosystem governance framework. It will take responsibility for proposing strategic decisions, including devising the business plan, deliverables, IT infrastructure, data standard and timelines.

Reporting to the principal will be the implementation director, who will have the day-to-day responsibility to ensure the project is properly resourced and managed for the digital architecture and ecosystem governance framework, while staying faithful to the agreed business plan.

MAPS highlights that the appointment are contingent on the government approving it as the delivery organisation for the pensions dashboard.

The guidance body has also announced that it will be launching a programme of national listening events running throughout the UK from April to June 2019, as “the first step towards the formulation of a 20-year national strategy alongside our own three-year corporate plan”.

Each listening event will be split into two sessions. The morning will focus on key strategic decisions about how and where MAPS should prioritise its efforts, while the afternoon will focus on the region it is visiting’s needs.

The events are described as suitable for people wanting to contribute to and influence the strategic direction of the guidance body, for those already involved with financial capability, pensions guidance or debt advice issues and those that previously worked with the Money Advice Service, the Pensions Advisory Service or Pension Wise, which all combined to form MAPS.

The free listening events will visit Bristol, Leeds, Peterborough, Manchester, Edinburgh, Belfast, Cardiff, Birmingham, London and Dartford.
