Fantastic opportunity to lead on the maintenance, design and development of scheme calculations within the departments pension administration system, Universal Pensions Management (UPM2)
About the role
• Lead and coordinate the design and development of the UPM system calculations
• Decide the priority and timing of calculation improvement priorities
• Determine requirements, scope and specification of calculation changes
• Deliver the continuous program of calculation development in line with our requirements
• Manage testing and implementation of system upgrades and software releases to ensure no adverse effect on scheme calculations
• Redesign and provide the technical specifications for benefit calculations
• Manage system changes associated with the amendments to member records via database updates and communication templates
• Ensure the calculation capabilities and requirements of alternative administration systems are compliant with the Board’s needs. Manage and implement the calculations modules of any new systems introduced.
• Contribute to all areas within the System team as needed, e.g. utilising automation to improve efficiency, working on our Member and Employer self-service portals, etc
About you
• Experience of database and workflow management applications
• Experience of modern pension administration systems, including UPM2 and calculation development
• Proficient with Microsoft SQL
• Experience with either Javascript, C++ or C#
