Civil Service Pension Board re-appoints Margaret Edwards as non-executive chair.

Edwards, who has been non -executive chair of the Civil Service Pension Board since October 2016, has been given a further three-year term, effective from 1 October 2019. Commenting, Edwards said: “I am delighted to accept this extension and look forward to working with colleagues in the Cabinet Office to ensure that the Board is effective and more representative of the community we serve.”

XPS Pensions Group has named Harry Harper as head of risk transfer.

Prior to joining XPS, Harper led JLT’s buyout and buy-in team for two year, while before that he was part of Mercer’s buyout team. He was responsible for the UK’s first ‘all risks’ insurance transaction, the first buyout from Pension Protection Fund assessment and the first online bulk annuity e-auction.

LawDeb Pension Trustees has appointed Keith Scott as a trustee director.

Scott joins from BMO Global Asset Management, where he was client director since 2014. Prior to that, he spent 17 years at IBM in various pension roles, moving from risk manager through to European pensions director, via an investment strategist role in New York focused on the IBM US DB Pension Plan.
