Appointments update 5 June 2019

Aviva has announced Tom Stoddard will step down as chief financial officer (CFO), with Jason Windsor to take over on an interim basis.

Stoddard is set to step down as CFO and as a director on 30 June 2019. He is expected to remain with Aviva until 31 December 2019 “to support an orderly transition”. Windsor is currently CFO of Aviva UK Insurance. He joined Aviva in 2010 and has previously held the role of chief capital and investments officer and as a member of the group executive.

Barnett Waddingham has and named seven new partners in several different sectors.

Andy Parker and Sonia Kataora have been promoted to partner in its DC trustee and sponsor advisory team, while Chris Hawley and John Lawton to partner in its actuarial consulting practice. Julia Turney has been promoted in its client advisory team, Barry McKay in its LGPS team and Nasir Shah has been named partner in its insurance practice.

Barnett Waddingham has also appointed Dean Hughes as its head of enterprise risk management and Allan Engelhardt to advice firms on effective use of data.

Prior to his new role, Hughes was global head of risk and advisory at VinciWorks and has a decade of risk management experience. He joins its corporate consulting practice to lead a team of consultants. Engelhardt has over 20 years of experience in management consulting and data science, and has been appointed to its corporate consulting team to advise on effective data use.
