Appointments update - 3 April 2023

Dalriada Trustees has appointed Chris Roberts as managing director.

Roberts joined Dalriada as a professional trustee in September 2011 and helped to set up the firm’s Manchester office in June 2015. He was appointed to the board in October 2019 and acts as the lead trustee representative or trustee chair across a range of schemes. In the new role, Roberts will assume overall responsibility for the Dalriada business, working with the wider practice boards in the development and execution of the Dalriada strategy. The news was announced alongside six new appointments practice board directors appointments: Sarah Ballantyne, Amanda Banister, Judith Fish, Jo Harris, Julie-Anne Jones and Charles Ward.

Just Group has appointed Matthew Nelmes as head of pricing for its defined benefit de-risking business.

Nelmes joins the firm from Legal & General, where he built up seven years’ technical and commercial experience in the bulk annuity market, working in both the US and UK new business teams as well as having a role as a pricing actuary. In his new role, he will be responsible for the leading the pricing team and working alongside the leadership team to fulfil the group’s growth targets.

EY has named Paul Kitson as a new partner in its UK Pensions Consulting business.

In his new role, Kitson will lead a team of over 50 actuaries, specialists and investment consultants across the UK. He joins after a decade at PwC, where he was a UK partner advising UK corporates and pension funds on a wide range of specialist areas in the most challenging economic periods of the last ten years. Prior to this, Paul was a managing director at Nomura, having started his career at WTW and Aon Hewitt.
