Appointments update 3 February 2020

Lombard Odier Investment Managers has announced four new hires within its sustainable research team.

All four of the new staff will join the firms sustainable investment research, strategy and stewardship team, reporting to Dr Christopher Kaminker, who has led the team since his appointment in July 2019. Both Ruairidh Cumming and Laura García Vélez have joined the team as quantitative analysts, while Dr. Thomas Höhne-Sparborth has joined as senior sustainability analyst, and Kristina Church as a senior investment strategist.

Legal & General Investment Management (LGIM) has appointed Martina Kay as global HR director.

A newly created role, Kay will be responsible for supporting the business’s global growth ambitions and will report directly to CEO, Michelle Scrimgeour. Kay joins with over 20 years of experience in senior HR roles across both the retail and asset management industry. She has held roles at Homebase, UBS Global Asset Management, and BlackRock, as well as running her own consultancy.

Law Debenture has named Daniel Barlow as director in its pension trustee team.

Barlow is a qualified solicitor, and holds the PMI award in pension trusteeship. Previously, he acted as PWC head of trustee services, as well as being a member of the firm’s DC governance committee. Prior to this, Barlow was company secretary and chief legal adviser for the Tetley group.
