Mercer has announced senior leadership appointments from the Jardine Lloyd Thompson Group (JLT) following its acquisition of the group.
Karen Philips has been named head of Mercer’s UK financial planning business, having previously been JLT managing director of wealth management. Malcolm Reynolds, JLT managing director of UK administration services, will become Mercer client leader for UK administration services. Steven Robinson will lead the mid-market segment for Mercer’s UK wealth business and Mark McNulty will take on the role of European head of clients for Mercer’s delegated solutions business.
Royal London has named Tom Dunbar as distribution director for its intermediary division.
Dunbar, who is currently group strategy director at Royal London, will be succeeding Jim Smith, who is stepping down after 19 years. Dunbar has led on the establishment of a new approach to strategy development and will be succeeded by Julia Reichert from Boston Consulting Group.
Barnett Waddingham has appointed Ian Mills as senior investment consultant to continue the development of its services to DB schemes.
Mills joins from Redington, where he was managing director in the investment consulting team, and brings over 20 years of industry experience to his new role. Prior to his position at Redington, Mills was a partner at LCP and is a qualified actuary.
