Appointments update 28 February 2019

Clara-Pensions has announced the appointment of Steve Groves to its corporate board.

Groves brings more than 20 years of experience in the UK retirement industry and currently holds the position of chairman at Key Retirement Group and Retirement Bridge. He spent much of his career as group CEO of Partnership. Steve’s appointment follows that of Lawrence Churchill, who was made chairman of the board in September.

Cardano has promoted Tom Rivers to the role of partner and Ben Cooper to team leader and chair of the Manager Research Committee.

Rivers joined the company in 2016 as senior investment strategist, prior to which he was head of multi-asset investment strategy for the APAC region for UBS Asset Management. Alongside Cooper, investment manager Dev Jadeja will become deputy team leader.

Redburn has announced that Gonzalo Lopez and Charles Bendit will join its financials team.

Lopez joins Redburn from Mirabaud Securities where he was a sell-side analyst, prior to which he spent six years at Banco Popular Espanyol. Bendit brings over three years of sector experience from his time as an analyst at Berenberg and Nomura.
