Appointments update 25 April 2019

BESTrustees has announced the appointment of Andrew Cole as a trustee executive.

Cole joined BESTrustees in early April 2019 and has broad experience as pension scheme trustee and investment sub-committee chair. Prior to joining BESTrustees, Cole worked at Credit Agricole Corporate & Investment Bank. He has experience overseeing a large investment portfolio, developing and implementing changes to investment strategy and LDI hedging.

Pinsent Masons has promoted Rob Tellwright to partner in its pensions and long-term savings team, effective 1 May 2019.

Tellwright joined Pinsent Masons in 2014 and has experience in advising trustess, employers and insurers on buy-ins, buyouts and longevity hedging deals. He was recently part of the team advising Rentokil Initial plc on its £1.5bn buy-out with Pension Insurance Corporation.

Eversheds Sutherland has promoted Simon Daniel to partner and Vanessa Wells to legal director.

Both promotions were within its pensions team and come alongside another 27 promotions to partner for 2019. Eversheds Sutherland head of pensions, Francois Barker, commented: “Vanessa and Simon are talented and experienced pension lawyers who work on a wide range of complex pensions matters.”
