Appointments update 21 July 2021

Hymans Robertson has appointed Leonard Bowman as head of corporate DB endgame strategy.

Bowman joined the consultancy as a partner earlier this year as part of the Hymans Robertson's acquisition of Bath Actuarial Consulting (BAC), which was co-founded by Bowman in 2012. Prior to this, he held senior corporate actuary and management roles at Willis Towers Watson for ten years, and has experience advising companies on designing, implementing and managing strategies to see their DB schemes through to the end of their journey.

River and Mercantile (R&M) have named Mike Rogers as senior advisor to the R&M Solutions business.

Rogers joins the firm from Aon, where he held the role of investment partner. He has over 30 years’ industry experience in pensions and investments, including across both the asset-side and liability-side of pensions. Prior to joining R&M, Rogers held a number of senior roles, including CIO of a £30bn DB and £5bn DC pension fund, investment partner, and actuarial consultant.

PwC UK has promoted Katie Lightstone to partner in its pensions employer covenant and restructuring service.

Lightstone has led PwC’s covenant advice to pension scheme trustees and sponsoring employers for the past 12 years, and also leads on the provider’s covenant proposition to non-associated, multi-employer schemes. In addition to this, PwC has announced the promotion of Lauren Baba and Anthony Rushworth to directors in PwC’s pensions employer covenant and restructuring service, while Gavin Sharma and Roshni Patel have also been promoted to directors in its pensions advisory practice.
