Appointments update 20 January 2021

Phoenix has named Colin Williams as managing director, pensions and savings.

Williams brings more than 28 years of experience within the industry to the role, having most recently acted as Aviva Workplace Savings and Retirement business and Financial Advice Business managing director. He has also held executive positions at Axa Corporate Benefits, Friends Life, Fidelity International and Prudential Assurance, and was a non-executive director of Sesame Bankhall Group.

Redington has appointed two managing directors to its investment consulting team.

Andrew Drake, who was formerly a PwC partner, brings more than 25 years’ experience to the team, having also co-founded River and Mercantile Solutions (previously P-Solve). Nick Horsfall meanwhile, joins from the Asset Management Exchange, having previously held the role of managing director in Willis Towers Watson's investment practice, where he worked for more than 30 years.

Aviva Investors has announced the appointment of Vaidehee Sachdev as Global Sustainable Outcomes Team impact analyst.

Joining from ShareAction, Sachdev will lead research and engagement campaigns on social issues linked to people and society, and supporting investment that delivers universal human development. Her work in the newly created role is also expected to support Aviva Investor’s sustainable outcomes fund range and contribute to the sustainable development goals. In addition to this, Sachdev will lead Aviva Investors’ work to drive change within companies ranked in the Corporate Human Rights Benchmark and the Social Benchmark.
