Appointments update 18 March 2019

The Railway Pensions Trustee Company Limited has appointed Chris Hannon as the new chair of its trustee board.

Hannon brings over 40 years of experience as a pensions professional to his new role, including as trustee director of the Railways Pension Scheme since 2005. He also spent 12 years as head of pensions at Network Rail and held management and trustee supporting roles with other large non-rail employers, including Safeway Supermarkets plc and Thomas Cook Group.

Willis Towers Watson (WTW) has named Anne Swift as a senior director on its Advisory Investment Services team.

Swift arrives at her new role with 25 years of experience in delivering advice and services to SC pension schemes, having previously worked at Aon, BlackRock and Deutsche Asset Management. She joins WTW from KPMG, where she was head of DC investment, advising clients on all aspects of their DC investment arrangements.

Legal & General Investment Management has announced the appointment of Lisa Purdy as head of fiduciary distribution.

Previously, Purdy worked at Lloyds Bank, where she was corporate pensions director, responsible for distributing pension services to commercial customers. Prior to this, she was a principal investment consultant and led on business development for UK investment advisory at Aon Hewitt. She has 14 years’ experience in pensions and is a qualified actuary.
