EQ Paymaster has been re-appointed as the third-party administrator (TPA) for the Hewlett Packard (HP) Retirement Benefit Plan.
The contract extension means that EQ Paymaster will be the TPA for the scheme for a further five years. EQ Paymaster has worked with HP since 2008 and the scheme has around 14,000 members. In that time, the scheme has invested in a range of member services that are integrated with EQ Paymaster’s front-end member engagement activity. It stated that the re-appointment reflects the trustees’ goal of self-sufficiency and focuses on providing its members with the best experience and retirement outcomes possible.
Barnett Waddingham has appointed Reena Tanna as senior investment consultant to support its defined contribution (DC) investment team.
Tanna joins Barnett Waddingham to advise DC schemes on all aspects of their investments, including strategy design, manager selection, risk management and implementation. Her role will include providing investment advice to a range of DC clients including trust-based pension schemes and master trusts. Previously at Aon for 13 years, Reena led investment advice on defined benefit and DC schemes ranging in size from £25m to £3bn.
Ross Trustees has promoted six members of its independent pension trustee and support teams.
The promotions took effect from 1 November 2020. Sam Hext and Scott Duncan were promoted from senior associates to trustee managers, Maria Keen and Joe Porter from associates to senior associate, and Jake Churchill and David Preston from administrators to associates. Hext is a trained actuary and has been in the pensions industry since 2001, Duncan has over 25 years of experience in the pensions sector and Keen has been in the industry since 2006. Porter is responsible for acting as scheme secretary for a variety of schemes, Churchill’s experience is predominantly in third-party administration, and Preston provides secretarial and project support to trustee managers and directors for a number of pension schemes.
