Clara has appointed Rebecca Wainwright as its new COO.
Wainwright joins with 20 years of experience in the insurance sector. Previously, she was director of heritage strategy, planning and project delivery at Phoenix Group and COO at ReAssure. She has served as ambassador for Everywoman and has significant committee and board experience. Alongside Wainwright, Uravi Patel, Louise Ellisdon and Damien Pantling have joined the team. Patel joins as senior legal counsel from Just Group bringing experience from her time as part of the in-house legal team. Ellisdon also joined from Just Group, but as pensions administration client relationship manager and will support the trustee board and administration partners. Pantling has joined as head of financial reporting from Berkshire County Council Pension Fund and will help Clara deliver on its financial reporting requirements.
Pegasus Pensions has announced the appointment of Chris Thwaites as pensions executive.
Previously group support development officer at Kirklees Council, Thwaites will join Pegasus Pension as pensions executive in its Manchester office. He has also held roles at WTW, Equiniti, Independent Trustee Services, Capital Employee Benefits, Higham Dunnett Shaw, and Mercer Human Resource Consulting. Commenting on the appointment, Pegasus head, Sankar Mahalingham, said: “We are delighted to have Chris join the team. With over two decades in the industry, he is a highly experienced pensions professional with extensive technical expertise in scheme administration and project management, having worked on both ongoing schemes and those in wind up.”
First Actuarial has appointed Catherine Lockyer as head of financial wellbeing.
Lockyer has worked with employers for many years to help employees take control of their money and improve their financial wellbeing. She started her career at Mercer, where she qualified as actuary, after which, she joined Hazell Carr before moving to First Actuarial in 2004. She became a partner in 2012.
