Preparation for pensions dashboards continues

Preparation for pensions dashboards has continued despite recent delays to the programme, as pension providers have continued to appoint their integrated service providers (ISP) for connection to the pensions dashboards ecosystem.

Broadstone announced that it appointed Equisoft to connect its clients to the pensions dashboards, with over 25 pension administrators having now selected Equisoft's Pension Fusion ISP Service, supporting almost 6.5 million members.

The service will build on the existing relationship between Broadstone and Equisoft, and aims to help Broadstone provide a highly secure, always-on connection to the pensions dashboards.

Commenting on the news, Broadstone pensions dashboards delivery manager, Jon Pocock, stated: “We are impressed with the level of consideration that Equisoft has given to their product and the ways in which it supports our aims.

“The flexibility to manage key elements of the process directly, gives us the freedom to meet our clients’ needs, and those of their members, effectively. We look forward to working with Equisoft to establish our connection to pensions dashboards and supporting our clients’ regulatory obligations.”

LV=, meanwhile, has appointed Origo as its ISP, selecting the Origo Dashboard Connector’s fully managed option.

This means that Origo will undertake the complete fulfilment process on behalf of the provider based on a regular data update from the provider.

Commenting on the appointment, LV= savings and retirement director, David Stevens, said: “The pensions dashboard will enable pension savers to monitor their pension funds in a single place and will become a useful tool for planning retirement.

“It will play an important role helping people to better understand how much they have saved for retirement and motivate them to engage in planning for when they stop work.

“The average person is likely to have numerous different jobs during their working life and a corresponding number of workplace pensions. The dashboard is an essential development to ensure people can keep track of all their different retirement savings pots as they move through their career.

“LV= is committed to ensuring we respond to requests for pension data via the dashboard as quickly as possible and we wanted a system that links seamlessly and securely with the dashboard.”
