Appointments update - 7 January 2026

Jackie Leiper has joined People's Partnership Limited as non-executive director. 

Leiper has extensive executive and technical experience in financial services as well as expertise in pensions and investments. She has held senior roles within Lloyds Banking Group, including chief customer & digital officer, CEO of Embark Group, and managing director of workplace pensions, individual pensions & investments. In addition to this, Leiper has served on multiple boards, including deputy chair of Scottish Financial Enterprise, chair of the Association of British Insurers Long Term Savings Committee, trustee of the Bank of Scotland Foundation, and the CAF Group Board as trustee. 

Railpen has appointed Sarah Gray as general counsel.

Gray joins from the Post Office, where she most recently held the role of interim group general counsel. She brings decades of legal experience to her new role, with previous senior roles at Santander and RSA, among other major companies. Gray will join Railpen’s executive committee, leading the legal, compliance, governance and financial crime functions and will report to Railpen chief executive officer, Andy Bord. She replaces Sally-Ann James, who is retiring. Commenting on the appointment, Bord said Gray is an “excellent addition to the team, and her vast wealth of experience will be invaluable in leading our legal, compliance and governance functions”. He also thanked James “for her exceptional work, and to wish her all the best on a well-earned retirement”.

Quilter Cheviot has appointed Joseph Hill as fund research analyst.

Hill joins from Hargreaves Lansdown, where he was a senior investment analyst, having progressed through various roles since joining as an investment graduate in 2017. He will report to Quilter Cheviot’s head of investment fund research, Matt Ennion, and will be responsible for several areas of coverage, including UK equity. With this hire, the size of the Quilter Cheviot collectives research team has increased to nine. The research teams are responsible for the fund, equity and bond markets and carry out dedicated research to review potential investment opportunities to include within client portfolios and in-house strategies.
