The Money and Pensions Service (MaPS) has appointed Richard Harvey as its non-executive director.
Harvey has over 35 years of experience in global retail banking, having previously held senior roles at Barclays and GE, as well as recently leading on the digital transformation of payments and lending at HSBC. He has also worked with tech businesses including Divido, Nova Credit, and Biocatch. Harvey is a trustee director at Runnymede and Spelthorne Citizen’s Advice. Alex Heath, who has been on the MaPS board since March 2021, has given notice of his intention to step down as his term of appointment ends in February 2025.
Barnett Waddingham has appointed Kim Durniat as business area leader for its insurance and longevity consulting team.
Durniat has over 25 years of insurance industry experience, with 15 of these years at Barnett Waddingham. She replaces Scott Eason who was appointed as one of four new managing partners at Barnett Waddingham earlier this month. Commenting on the appointment, Barnett Waddingham managing partner, Scott Eason, said: “Kim’s appointment reflects her outstanding work and leadership. Law Debenture has appointed Rekha Owen as a professional trustee.
Owen joined from the Financial Conduct Authority, where she led the supervision and oversight of one of the largest asset management firms in the UK. Before this, she worked for two decades in the investment world with previous roles at Mercer and KPMG. She also led Mercer’s alternative investments business in Canada. Owen has a chartered financial analyst accreditation from the CFA Institute and an investment management certificate from the Institute of Investment Management and Research.
