Appointments update 3 May 2019

Redington has promoted Sebastian Schulze, Nick Samuels and Lee Georgs to be managing directors.

Shulze joined the firm in September 2010 and has been promoted to managing director in the investment consulting team. Samuels joined Redington four years ago and leads its manager research team. Georgs joined the company in 2017 and sits on the firms executive committee as COO-coporate. The company also made promotions across the business within its ALM, manager research, reporting, DC and corporate functions teams.

LV= has appointed Debbie Kennedy to lead its protection business and Clive Bolton to lead its retirement solutions and heritage business.

Both appointments are effective from 1 July and are subject to regulatory approval. Kennedy joins from MLC Life Insurance, where she is general manager business design and change, and has previously worked at Royal London. Bolton moves to the retirement solutions department to “reflect the company’s increased focus on the retirement sector”.

Aon has announced the appointment of Dave Barratt to its UK risk settlement team.

Barratt joins Aon after 13 years at JLT and HSBC Actuaries and Consultants, where he developed a number of bulk annuity services including a streamlined process for smaller transactions. He has advised a wide range of trustees and sponsoring employers on settling liabilities with insurers, including being involved in over 150 successful transactions.
