- Hymans Robertson has announced the appointment of Emma McWilliam to its Enterprise Risk Management team. She joins from Milliman and will play a leading role developing risk and actuarial services for the life insurance market.
McWilliam will oversee the provision of a range of services that life insurers have greater demand for post changes to DC pensions announced in the 2014 budget. These relate to longevity de-risking, bulk annuities and Hymans Robertson’s DC pensions tool Guided Outcomes, which actively supports employees to save for retirement.
- J.P. Morgan Asset Management has appointed managing director Kris Jonsson and executive director Sandeep Bhamra to newly created roles as client advisors in the global endowments & foundations group, based in London.
Jonsson joins from J.P. Morgan Private Bank, where he was most recently head of EMEA endowments & foundations investor team. Prior to this, he was head of investors for Switzerland and emerging Europe for J.P. Morgan Suisse.
Bhamra joins from J.P. Morgan Investor Services, within the corporate & investment bank, where he covered alternative asset managers and hedge funds. Previously, he was part of structured credit marketing at J.P. Morgan.
- UBP SA has appointed Karine Jesiolowski as senior investment specialist of the bank's emerging markets bond team.
Jesiolowski has over 20 years' experience in fund management. Prior to joining UBP, she was an analyst with BNP Paribas Fortis/Fortis Investments. Before that she spent seven years as an emerging-markets strategist and portfolio manager with CPR Asset Management, a subsidiary of Amundi, and from 2000 to 2003 she was an emerging-markets investment specialist with Rothschild Asset Management.
- Guy Davies has been appointed as director of equities for BNP Paribas Investment Partners institutional business line.
He joins the firm from Fundquest Advisor where he was head of research. He will assume the same role, with responsibility for the firm's institutional equity teams, reporting to David Kiddie, based in London.
- Nick Horton has re-joined Lazard Asset Management as institutional sales & marketing manager, taking responsibility for the Nordic and Benelux regions and working out of the London office.
Horton re-joined Lazard from Dalton Strategic Partnership where he worked for three years as head of institutional. He originally joined the firm in 2009, having previously worked as a relationship director with Fidelity International.
