Appointments update – 29 January 2026

Steve Deverell-Smith has been appointed as head of client consulting at Aptia.

Deverell-Smith joins from Law Debenture, where he served as a professional trustee and brings over 20 years of experience in the pensions consultancy field, advising both trustees and corporates on a wide range of operational and strategic matters. Previously, he was First Actuarial head of corporate actuarial services and has also held senior roles at WTW and Barnett Waddingham. The appointment follows Aptia’s recent acquisition of Atkin Pensions last November, which enables the company to provide a range of pensions consulting and bundled actuarial services focusing on small and medium-sized UK pension funds.

Zedra has appointed Cameron Senior as deputy regional head of the Crown Dependencies.

He joins Zedra with over 25 years of experience in international banking and financial services across multiple jurisdictions, including Australia, the UK, Hong Kong, Singapore and Jersey. Based in Jersey, Senior will work closely with Zedra regional head of the Crown Dependencies, Steven Bowen, and the wider leadership team across the firm's Jersey, Guernsey and Isle of Man offices. The appointment follows a series of senior appointments to the business’s leadership team.

Dalriada has appointed Mandy Kaur-Sadler as trustee director.

Kaur-Sadler will lead the development of Dalriada’s offering in the public sector, education and other highly regulated markets and drive the continued expansion of the firm’s non-executive trustee portfolio. To her new position, she brings extensive experience across the UK pensions landscape. Kaur-Sadler has built a reputation for her specialist expertise in the public sector, education and other highly regulated markets. In addition to this, she will play a key role in enhancing Dalriada’s presence in co-trustee and chair appointments, while supporting schemes navigating transitions between governance models and increasing the firm’s influence across complex and evolving sectors.
