Appointments update 23 January 2020

Franklin Templeton has announced two new hires across its Europe team.

Jennifer McCabe has joined as legal transaction manager in London, while Gaston Brandes has been appointed as the head institutional portfolio manager EMEA in Frankfurt. Both joined their teams in January 2020, and report to FRAA managing director Raymond Jacobs. Brandes has re-joined Franklin Templeton after 13 years, and will be responsible for representing the private real estate investment team across the EMEA region. McCabe will be focusing on legal investment aspects of European private real estate transactions.

Independent Trustee Services (ITS) has appointed Ian Terry as sales and marketing director.

Terry joins the team with over 30 years’ experience in client relationship management and marketing, having previously worked as head of sales (pensions and benefits) at Capita. He has also had various roles at Aon. The appointment follows the recent management buyout of ITS from MMC last year.

Interactive Investor has named Freddie Gjertsen as chief commercial officer.

Gherstsen will report directly to Interactive Investor CEO, RIchard Wilson, and has extensive experience in financial services’ platforms, technology and customer engagement. Prior to this, he was Moneysupermarket Group product director, previously also working as director of growth at TouchNote.
