Appointments update 22 June 2020

IFM Investors has announced the appointment of Gregg McClymont as executive director, public affairs (UK).

McClymont, who will be based at IFM’s London Office, joins the team from The People’s Pension, where he held the role of director of policy and external affairs. He also previously acted as Aberdeen Asset Management head of retirement for three years. Prior to this, McClymont served as a Labour MP from 2010-15 and as Labour’s Shadow Minister of State for Pensions between 2011-2015.

RPMI Railpen has appointed Steven Tirrell as head of strategy and planning.

Tirrell joined the Investment Executive Committee in February 2020, reporting to investments managing director, Michelle Ostermann. Leading the Business Change team, he will be responsible for the development and implementation of the strategy for the investment business. Tirrell brings almost 20 years’ experience in financial services to this newly created role, including experience at PwC, Morgan Stanley, and Citi.

AMP Limited has named Boe Pahari as chief executive officer of AMP Capital, effective 1 July.

Pahari, who is currently AMP Capital global head of infrastructure equity and director, North-West Region, will succeed Adam Tindall, who retired from AMP after almost five years in the position. Since joining AMP Capital in 2010, Pahari has been a “key driver” in the firm's growth over the past five years, and will continue to oversee the Infrastructure Equity Business as part of his broader responsibilities. Tindall will also be working closely with Pahari through a transition period to ensure an “orderly handover”.
