Hymans Robertson has appointed David Walker as chief investment officer.
Having been with the firm for the past 19 years, Walker has advised a range of private and LGPS funds across a variety of investment services. Previously, he was responsible for developing the firms strategic investment services and for public sector clients, as well as being part of the research oversight group. He will succeed Andy Green, who is moving to chair the Hymans Robertson investment services investment committee, with a focus on newer areas into which the firm can expand its reach.
RPMI Railpen has named Michael Marshall as head of sustainable ownership, with Caroline Escott also joining the team as senior investment manager.
Marshall will step into the role in September and will report to RPMI Railpen chief fiduciary officer, investments, Mads Gosvig. He joins from LGPS Central, where he held the role of director of responsible investment and engagement, having previously held roles at West Midlands Pension Fund, Trucost and EIRIS. Marshall will take over the role from Leo George, who will be staying with RPMI Railpen until the end of the year to ensure a smooth handover. The sustainable ownership team will also be further strengthened through the appointment of Caroline Escott as senior investment manager. Prior to this role, Escott was PLSA senior policy lead on investment & stewardship, having also held roles at the Association of Professional Financial Advisers.
SEI Institutional Group has announced the appointment of Rebekah Bennet as consultant relations director in Europe.
Bennet will be based in the firms London office and will be responsible for the management and development of both existing and new relationships with fiduciary management and DC plan consultants. Prior to joining SEI, Bennet was based at BlackRock, with her previous work experience also including client service and relationship management roles with BNP Paribas Securities Services.
