Appointments update 21 February 2019

ARC Pensions Law has appointed Helen Mungeam as a senior associate.

Mungeam joins from Weil, Gotshal & Manges and brings over 20 years of pensions lawyer experience to her new role. She has advised on a wide range of pensions matters, including the pensions aspects of mergers, acquisitions, disposals, private equity transactions, as well as on related dealings with the pension trustees and The Pensions Regulator.

Aegon Asset Management has named Govert Wessels as a portfolio manager ABS, mortgages and consumer loans.

Wessels joins Aegon from Credit Suisse, where he was an investment banking analyst on TMT stocks, covering the EMEA region. He will report to head of alternative credit, Frank Meijer, and will focus on helping the team “further build its direct lending activities, including mortgages”.

Kingswood has announced the appointment of Richard Jeffrey as chairman of the investment committee.

Jeffrey arrives at Kingswood from Cazenove Capital, where he was chief investment officer, then chief economist. Prior to that he was chief operating officer at Ingenious Securities and head of research and chief economist at Bridgewell Securities. He was also chief economist at Charterhouse Bank.
