Appointments update - 2 August 2023

Redington has announced the appointment of five new managing directors.

The senior promotions were announced as part of the group’s 2023 mid-year promotion round, with Jill Davys, Katherine FitzGerald, Tara Gillespie, Anastasia Guha and Paul Lee promoted to the role of managing director. In total, Redington made 28 promotions across its investment consulting, global assets, manager research, sustainable investment and development teams. Commenting on the promotions, Redington CEO, Sylvia Pozezanac, said: “I am grateful for all our new managing directors have contributed to the business, and I look forward to working with them in their new roles and having them engage more broadly in our firm.”

Sackers has announced its 2023 round of promotions.

The promotions, which took effect from 1 August, saw Oliver Topping and Kirsty Pake promoted to the role of partner; Emily Rowley to associate director; and Charlotte Bailey, George Carr, Sarah Clay, Amy Difford, Andrew Harper, Bethan Rowlands, Sam Taylor and Katie Whitford to senior associate. Commenting on the appointments, Sackers senior partner, David Saunders, commented: “In a year when the firm has received industry recognition for the quality of its advice and client service with a string of awards, including the top three pensions legal awards, it is wonderful to be able to pay tribute to the people who made it happen by promoting a bumper crop of talented lawyers. These promotions show how we continue to grow diverse talent from within the firm and how broad our pensions interests are. We look forward to seeing all eleven continue to flourish in their new roles.”

Standard Life has named Callum Stewart as head of investment proposition distribution.

Stewart joins the business from Hyman Robertson, where he most recently held the role of head of DC investment, specialising in pension funding and investment. During his time at Hymans Robertson, he also led on the integration of climate and sustainability into the company’s investment proposition, as well as supporting broader industry initiatives, such as helping the Productive Finance Working Groups in the production of their guides for assessing value, including illiquid investments.
