Aptia has appointed Jaysukh Shah as bulk annuity proposition lead.
Shah has been appointed to lead Apita’s risk transfer proposition. With more than 20 years of experience in the pensions industry, Shah has spent the past decade advising trustees and corporate sponsors on risk transfer strategies across a range of sized schemes. Prior to joining Aptia, he held the position of senior manager at PwC. During his career, he has also held the roles of senior associate and senior actuarial analyst at Mercer as well as consultant at JLT.
Legal & General (L&G) has appointed Emiel van den Heiligenberg as chief investment officer for the asset management business.
Van den Heiligenberg will lead L&G’s global investment platform, supported by over 400 investment professionals across the business. He will also be responsible for leading the firm’s investment strategy across public markets and fixed income asset classes, research, and engagement, as well as its wider responsible investment approach. Van den Heiligenberg has over 30 years of investment experience delivering for clients across changing market cycles. This includes 12 years leading L&G’s multi-asset business.
L&G has appointed Sarah Spooner to the newly created role of chief customer officer.
This new position combines responsibility for customer and client service across both Retail and Institutional Retirement businesses for the first time. Spooner brings over 15 years of experience in customer service and strategy with organisations such as Vodafone and, most recently, Three UK, where she led customer strategy across all channels. In her new role, she will be responsible for operational customer and client services, focusing on delivering the best possible experience and collaborating with L&G’s teams to build operational infrastructure and models.
