Punter Southall has appointed actuary Douglas Hogg to join its team in Edinburgh. He joins from the company’s London office where he advised corporates and trustees for 10 years, following his graduation from Oxford University. The company has its new base in Castle Street to support its expansion.

She joins a team of over 20 consultants with a focus on Europe. She joins from MAXIS Global Benefits Network where she was senior multinational account manager for 10 years, responsible for large multinational pooling and captive clients.
State Street Global Advisors (SSgA) announced the appointment of Nigel Aston as managing director and head of UK DC. Based in London, he will report to senior managing director and head of UK, Middle East and Africa Susan Raynes and managing director and global head of defined contribution Fredrik Axsater. He has 20 years industry experience and joins from DCisions where he was responsible for sales, marketing, relationships and product delivery.
B&CE Benefit Schemes has announced the appointment of Christine Brightwell as its director of regulatory governance and risk. She is a trained barrister specialised in pensions law, and has experience as an independent trustee and pensions consultant to trustees and employers.
HSBC Global Asset Management (UK) has appointed Andy Clark as chief executive officer, subject to approval. Clark joined HSBC in 2005 as head of UK retail and moved up to regional head of wholesale, EMEA, in 2011. He replaces Simeon Brown, who has been UK CEO of HSBC Global Asset Management for five years.
