Alpha Real Capital joins Pensions for Purpose

Secure income real assets manager, Alpha Real Capital, has joined Pensions for Purpose as an influencer member.

Pensions for Purpose is a community of pension and investment professionals that operate as a ‘bridge’ between asset managers, pension schemes and their professional advisers to encourage impact investment.

It aims to help schemes mitigate negative impacts and seek positive impacts by supporting them in understanding what they invest in and the opportunities available.

Alpha Real Capital has now joined the group, with the firm stating it was “pleased” to join as an influencer member.

Commenting on the announcement, Alpha Real Capital CEO, Phillip Rose, said: “Pensions for Purpose exists to encourage the flow of capital to sustainable and impact investment.

“Alpha Real Capital - with approaching £2bn invested in renewable energy infrastructure and social infrastructure - is focused on delivering investments that make a difference to the quality of peoples’ lives and the future of our planet.

“Our membership of Pensions for Purpose is a further progression of Alpha’s commitment to sustainable investing.”

Alpha Real Capital CIO and head of sustainability, Ed Palmer, added: “Alpha is firmly focused on sustainable investment strategies with positive ESG characteristics.

“Alpha invests extensively in care, medical, educational and other social infrastructure and has made over 100 renewable energy infrastructure investments over the last eight years that sustainably power the equivalent of over 150,000 UK homes.”
