SAUL Trustee Company (STC) provides administration services for the Superannuation Arrangements of the University of London (SAUL) – a pension scheme with over 55,000 members across 49 employers in the higher education sector. At STC, we are responsible for:
• collecting the money members and employers pay into SAUL
• managing where that money is invested
• making sure we pay the right pension to the right person at the right time
Salary: Between £25,000- £30,000 depending on skills and experience
About the role
We are looking to fill a permanent position for a Benefits Technician, reporting to the Assistant Administration Manager.
The role provides a full benefits administration service in accordance with Scheme Rules as well as planning and organising the work to meet agreed deadlines and service standards. Also, you will be working alongside the Senior Benefits Technicians and the Trainees to facilitate the smooth running of the team with minimum supervision.

About you
To be considered for this role you need:
• Relevant degree or equivalent qualification or equivalent experience
• At least 2 years of relevant administration experience
• Competent knowledge of The Pension Regulator
• Understanding of relevant legislation
• Experience of assessing and responding to non-routine work situations
• Desirable detailed knowledge and understanding of DB pensions administration calculations, processes, and systems
• To have excellent written and oral communication skills
• To be able to work to deadlines and be proactive.
• Excellent attention to detail
• Positive attitude to change
