Appointments update 27 June 2019

The Institute and Faculty of Actuaries has announced that John Taylor began his term as president today.

Taylor has been president-elect for the past year but has now formally taken up the post. Tan Suee Chieh has joined the team as the next president-elect. Taylor is a partner at Hymans Robertson and currently the head of guided outcomes. His most recent previous role was managing director at Nest and has over 20 years of actuarial experience.

Aon has appointed Chintan Gandhi to its collective defined contribution (CDC) team.

Gandhi joins Matthew Arends and Madalena Cain on the team following Kevin Wesbroom’s departure after 44 years. Gandhi is a principal consultant at Aon and has been at the firm since 2008. He also founded the Young Members’ Group of the Assocation of Consulting Actuaries (ACA) and sits on the ACA’s Main Committee.

Kas Bank has named Henry Crofton as its business development manager.

Crofton has experience within the financial services industry, focussing in both institutional and private client sectors. Prior to joining Kas Bank, he has worked as institutional relationships manager at London & Capital and as institutional sales executive at SEI Investments (Europe) Ltd. At Kas Bank, he will focus on the growth strategy for its pension fund services.
