West Yorkshire Pension Fund (WYPF) administers the Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS) for over 850 employers based throughout the UK and is valued at over £19bn. We also have a shared service partnership with Lincolnshire Pension Fund, the London Boroughs of Hounslow and Barnet and a number of Fire Authorities for the administration of the Firefighters Pension Schemes. We are recruiting a Programme Manager who has the ability to develop and manage high-value service delivery programmes for local authorities and public sector services.
You will work closely with key stakeholders to ensure the successful set up and full delivery of our agreed projects.

Ultimately, in this role you will take ownership of establishing, managing and delivering large and complex programmes and projects through to successful delivery.

You will need to:

• Plan and design the project and proactively monitor its progress, highlight and resolve issues and initiating appropriate corrective action.
• Ensure effective overall integrity of the programme across West Yorkshire Pension Fund wider activity.
• Ensuring all project roles and responsibilities are clearly understood and adhered to.
• Ensure delivery of projects is to the appropriate level of quality, on time and within budget, in accordance with the programme plan and programme governance arrangements.
• Manage third party contributions to the programme.
• Manage both the dependencies and the interfaces between projects and other programmes.

To be considered for this new opening in our team, we are looking for a Programme Manager who is able to demonstrate the following skills and experiences:

• Have a technical IT background
• Have a strong and effective leadership, interpersonal and communication skills.
• Demonstrable knowledge of techniques for planning, monitoring and controlling projects.
• Strong knowledge of resource allocation.
• Ability to identify critical delivery path deliverables
