Our client is seeking an experienced UK Pension Specialist to support the UK Pensions Manager in the day-to-day management of the company's pension scheme. This newly created role will be vital in maintaining high-quality services by supporting the delivery of effective scheme administration, governance and projects.

London, Part-time, three days per week with minimum of one day in the office and two days working from home

This is a 12-month fixed term contract working three days a week and offers the opportunity to work closely with internal stakeholders and external adviser and administrators to ensure the smooth operation of the company's pension arrangements.

About the role

Support the UK Pensions Manager with the day-to-day running of the company's pension scheme. This will involve helping to ensure effective:
• Scheme administration and governance: including overall admin processes (including identification of service improvements); and support of the scheme's risk management function and GMP equalisation committees
• Employee/member support: providing clear and accurate guidance to employee enquiries (including payroll) and delivery of employee/member workshops
• Project management of key scheme initiatives: including one-off projects and the implementation of regulatory changes (pension dashboards, tPR updates)
• Stakeholder engagement: both internal and external (including trustees, advisers and administrators)

About you

• Good knowledge of UK pensions legislation, governance, and best practice
• Experience working on defined benefit and defined contribution schemes
• Understanding of company/trustee responsibilities
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; able to explain complex pension issues in simple terms
• Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
• Team player with willingness to learn and absorb information
• Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively on a part-time basis
