West Yorkshire Pension Fund (WYPF) administers the Local Government Pension Scheme for over 850 employers based throughout the UK.

We also have a shared service partnership with Lincolnshire Pension Fund, the London Boroughs of Hounslow and Barnet and a number of Fire Authorities for the administration of the Firefighters Pension Schemes.

As Team Manager you will direct and manage the day to day operation of a Member Services Team, taking responsibility for a specialised pensions area, but assist with other work areas when necessary.

The Member Services Teams provide a full administration service for members and deferred members of the Local Government pension scheme.

With other Team Managers you will evaluate workloads and move staff between other work areas to achieve efficient completion of work in line with statutory deadlines and key performance indicators.
• You will provide technical support to ensure staff comply with scheme regulations, WYPF policies and procedures and other relevant legislation, to achieve effective service delivery.
• You will also have a thorough, well-organised and professional approach to work, with strong individual and team management skills.
• You will be responsible for the welfare, health and safety and discipline of staff within the team, ensuring that corporate policies and practices are adhered to.
As a minimum you will have 4 years' experience of pension scheme administration of which 3 years should be recent and relevant management, supervision and assistance of staff., and you will hold a professional pensions qualification (CIPP Foundation Degree in Pensions Administration and Management, or APSA, IPPM, PMI or equivalent).
